What We Do
Focus on Faculty is a mentoring program for tenured arts, humanities, and social sciences faculty. It aims to provide professional development activities to senior faculty while enhancing faculty diversity. Key activities of the program include:
- Facilitating one-on-one mentoring relationships between tenured arts, humanities and social sciences faculty and senior faculty and administrators outside of their department
- Organizing peer mentoring sessions for mentees involved in the program
- Offering professional development opportunities such as Lunch & Learn workshops
- Providing program participants with training on how to be effective mentors and/or mentees
The program is open to women and men, associate and full professors. Interested faculty members can apply to be mentors and/or mentees.
