Focus on Faculty

Who We Are

Focus on Faculty is managed by a program staff in consultation with an advisory board to provide programs to mentees and mentors.

The initiative is chaired by Jackie Litt and Sheryl Tucker. Dr. Litt (Chair of Women’s & Gender Studies) draws on her extensive social science research background as well as her experience in implementing a mentoring program in her department. Dr. Tucker (Associate Dean, Graduate School; Professor, Chemistry) will draw on her proven management expertise in implementing and sustaining mentoring programs, including the Mizzou ADVANCE program. Dr. Jill Hermsen is the Program Director.

The co-chairs consult with an advisory board. The advisory board offers additional expertise to help develop and guide the program. The members bring multiple perspectives that are invaluable to the program’s success.
